Harry Brook smashed a scintillating century at the top of the order as SRH clinched a comfortable win over KKR in their last game. That win was preceded by an 8-wicket success over the Punjab Kings. Brook and Markram have handled the burden of run-scoring, while Rahul Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma also have found their mojo.
Abhishek’s move to the middle order and the move to include Mayank Markande has provided some much-needed balance to the SRH outfit. The 2016 champions will now hope that Mayank Agarwal and the others can rally around their core and push through to the top 4.
Last time out, Washington Sundar and Abdul Samad were both named among substitutes. While both were not needed with the bat, Sundar was brought on in the second innings. He bowled 2 lacklustre overs for 20 runs. Such is the flexibility, SRH can choose between him and Samad to bring into the side depending on the situation.
The rest of the playing XI is likely to remain the same. Marco Jansen has added some much-needed ferocity to the attack while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Natarajan have performed at par. Markande has been a revelation keeping Adil Rashid out of the side.
