As Team India reached Ireland for the IND vs IRE T20Is, fans were greeted with a familiar sight. Jasprit Bumrah’s short-pitched delivery breezing past the batter’s helmet. The video, posted on BCCI’s official X handle, is sure to put a smile in Indian fans’ face. A back injury sidelined Bumrah for almost a year. He had been undergoing the rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
Bumrah’s tips for Mukesh Kumar
In another video circulating on social media, Bengal pacer Mukhesh Kumar is seen receiving bowling tips from Bumrah.
Judging by the way Bumrah is rolling his hand over the ball in the video, it looks like Bumrah is providing tips regarding off-cutters to Mukesh.
The young bowlers, who are slowly making their way into the Indian Cricket Team, will immensely benefit from having an experienced pacer like Bumrah by their side.
The pacer is leading the Indian side against Ireland after regular T20I captain Hardik Pandya was rested keeping the upcoming Asia Cup in mind.
The Indian team landed in Dublin and came in for a practice session straightaway, where Bumrah was seen bowling. The pacer looked comfortable while bowling albeit with a shorter run-up. However, the short run-up didn’t seem to have a huge impact on the pacer’s speed as the ball whizzed past the batter’s helmet.
