The Central Punjab cricketer has played 100 matches for Pakistan and is already an all-time great for Pakistan in the format. Babar averages 59.17 in these matches (4th highest of all-time) and has made 5089 runs in 98 innings.

In March 2023, Babar broke Hashim Amla’s record of fastest to 5000 ODI runs, taking 97 innings to reach the milestone compared to Amla’s 101.
