The right-handed batter is now close to holding the record for scoring the most 50+ scores in ODI cricket. Most 50+ score in ODI: Sachin Tendulkar tops the list
The Little Master stands at the top with 145 50+ scores in 463 ODIs. Tendulkar currently holds the record for scoring the most runs (18426), most 100s (49), and most 50s (96) in ODIs.
Kumar Sangakkara (118)
The former Sri Lankan skipper was not too far away from Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 96 fifties when he retired. However, his making just 25 hundred saw Sangakkara finish second with 118 50+ scores in ODI.
Virat Kohli (113)
The Delhi cricketer went past former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting after scoring his 66th fifty to enter the top 3 players with the most 50+ scores in ODI. Kohli is the only active player on the list, with 47 centuries (2nd most in ODIs) and 66 fifties (11th most of all time).
