Rohit Sharma is well known for his hitting prowess, and the batter is not far away from hitting the most sixes in international cricket. Currently, the record is held by former West Indies skipper Chris Gayle, and with the ODI World Cup 2023 coming up, Rohit can smash the record without breaking a sweat.
Chris Gayle: the man with most sixes in international cricket
The Universe Boss leads the way with 553 sixes in his 22-year international career. Having played 551 innings in 483 matches, the batter hit one six per inning.
Rohit Sharma
The current Indian skipper is not too far away from Gayle in the most sixes in the international cricket list, with an incredible 539 sixes in 467 innings. Sharma also has the best sixes-per-match percentage in the top 50 six-hitters of all time, smashing 1.15 sixes per inning.

Shahid Afridi
Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi was known for his incredible power. The batter previously held the record for most sixes hit, with 476 maximums in 509 innings. Afridi, on average, hit 0.93 sixes per inning in his 22-year career.
Brendon McCullum
Current England Test head coach Brendon McCullum is remembered for being the orchestrator in New Zealand’s best cricketing decade (2010s). But the wicketkeeper batter displayed an astonishing six-hitting ability despite his small stature. McCullum hit 398 sixes in 474 innings in his 14-year career, averaging 0.83 sixes per match.
Martin Guptill
Another swashbuckling Kiwi to feature on the most six hit in international cricket list. Guptill, who has been a lifelong opener, is just 15 sixes behind McCullum, with 383 maximums to his name in 402 innings. Guptill has the third-best six-hitting average in the top 5 (0.95).
