The World Cup 2023 will be underway in a couple of days. Ahead of the tournament opener between the finalists of the last edition of the tournament (ENG vs NZ) on October 5, let’s see which teams have the most wins in the ODI World Cup:
Australia miles ahead of others in most wins on ODI World Cup list
To no one’s shock, the most successful team in ODI World Cup history, Australia, is on top with 69 wins.
Having won five titles, the Kangaroos have played the most number of matches (94) and have the best win percentage of any team that has played the tournament (73.4).
New Zealand (54 wins)
The only team on the list to have never won an ODI World Cup title is New Zealand.
The Kiwis have played every edition of the tournament and hence find themselves with a win percentage of over 60.

India (53 wins)
The second-most successful team after Australia in the ODI World Cup is India.
Having won two titles, India has won just one match less than New Zealand but is behind just Australia when it comes to winning percentage (63.09).
England (48 wins)
Despite hosting the tournament four times, England has won it just once.
With nine matches to be played in the World Cup 2023, they have a chance to go past India and New Zealand.
Pakistan (45 wins)
Having won the fifth edition of the tournament in 1992, Pakistan has just three fewer wins than England.
With 45 wins, the chances of Pakistan overtaking India or New Zealand (8 and 9 wins more) seem improbable.
